Superconducting Proton Linac (SPL): Performance upgrade of CERN Accelerator Complex. Second Generation Ion Beam Facility. Neutrino physics.

Other challenges: LHC Computing Grid (LCG). Test of feasibility of the CLIC concept, in order to arrive by 2010 at a firm conclusion on its possible use in an e+e- linear collider above l TeV. CERN into AstroParticle.
